Monarch has announced that it will be the first UK airline to operate flights between the UK and the Greek city of Volos when it starts a new charter for summer 2009.
The weekly flights will operate on Fridays between May 15 and October 9 from Gatwick and Manchester, flying via Skiathos.
Volos, which lies on northern shores of the Pagasitikos Gulf is an ideal base for exploring the Pelion Peninsula and the Sporades.
Fares start from £239 return, including all taxes and charges.
