Phantasialand: One of Europe’s Top Entertainment Parks!

German theme parks are becoming very well known to European holidaymakers, and in particular, specialist tour operators in the UK are finding a demand amongst holidaymakers looking for family-oriented breaks which keep the children entertained.

Amongst operators who feature family-based trips is German specialist DERTOUR, who feature Phantasialand in Brühl near Cologne in the heart of the Rhineland.

They promise an international world of adventure and excitement behind the gates to Phantasialand, and are keen to promote Phantasialand's multi-award winning rides and attractions. These are in seven themed "lands" throughout the park.

Amongst the rides not to be missed are the Black Mamba rollercoaster and the nerve-jangling, Aztec-inspired adventure, Talocan. Here, you can plunge 65 metres on a bungee cord through the Mystery Castle and wrestle with the rapids on the River Quest, the world’s highest rafting ride.

For smaller childeren, there is an enchanting steam-powered carousel, miniature bumper cars and Octowuzy, the interactive water playground.

In addition to thrilling rides, Phantasialand also offers a huge variety of live shows, including ‘streetXtreme’, an action-packed stunt show, and ‘Arachnomé’, a dazzling display of artistry and special effects in a winter garden setting. The whole family will enjoy singing along to musical classics in the fantastic ‘On Broadway’ show.

Opening hours for Summer 2009 are posted on the DERTOUR website
